Client Fit
How does an engagement usually start?
Most engagements start with a short discovery or clarity phase. The goal is to understand the problem, constraints, and desired outcomes before deciding whether to equip, guide, or deliver. This avoids jumping to solutions too early.
How do you decide whether to Equip, Guide, or Deliver?
It comes down to capacity, urgency, and ownership. If your team has time but needs clarity, we equip. If you need support while executing, we guide. If execution needs to move quickly or capacity is limited, I deliver.
Who owns decisions during an engagement?
You always own the business decisions. My role is to provide structure, perspective, and execution support, depending on the engagement type, so decisions are informed and actionable.
How involved do we need to be as a client?
That depends on the model.
• Equip: high involvement
• Guide: moderate involvement
• Deliver: low involvement, focused on approvals and direction
If your team has no available capacity, Deliver is usually the right choice.
